In your demo, the images in the handheld version are much smaller in dimension compared to the ones in the desktop version. Do I need to create two sets of images and upload them?
- No. The handheld software will convert them accordingly. Both versions share the same data file and images.
Can I maintain the articles using a PDA?
- You can use all the features such as add, edit or delete modes except the image upload feature. Please note that it would be much faster and convenient to maintain the articles from a desktop computer unless you have GPRS connection for your PDA and that you have good graffiti or typing skill.
Can I place my own logo on top of every article?
- Yes, simply edit the page template_desktop.htm and template_handheld.htm.
I don't expect visitors to read the articles from PDAs (or desktop computers).
- In this case, do not install all the files for handheld (or vice versa).
How else can I utilize this script?
- You can use it as an online web editor. In this case, do not install the cboard_xxxxxx_titles.cgi scripts. Create links to point to the articles individually using the format cboard_desktop.cgi?Reference=000005. Web designers can use this script so that their customers may edit articles by themselves.
