Title: @1 Categorized Headlines Publisher: Software error message
The script failed to execute ....
I am getting an error message saying "Software Error" with some fault description that I don't really understand.
The "Software Error" message's fault description is actually quite meaningless. It won't give you much clue in troubleshooting. Usually the "Software Error" occurs when:
- one of the files or folders is not chmoded properly.
- one of the files or folders cannot be found.
- one of the files is corrupted.
- the path in the configuration is wrongly set.
Among so many of our scripts, @1 Catagorized Headlines Publisher is probably the most sensitive to installation mistakes. You have to be more careful. This is why we have included some sample datafiles, icons and images in the zip file. You are expected to include them during the first installation (as per the instruction file) so that you can test the script easily. Only delete them via the admin interface once everything is working fine.
Please try to reinstall. This time, be more careful and follow the instruction in the instruction file exactly. Check all permission settings. Most of our users get this error due to their carelessness. Remember to use a fresh copy from the zip file. Also, delete all previous files before you reinstall.
