UPOINT:: CGI Scripts: FAQ

Title: @1 Web Publisher: The script is not working
The script gives error or it is no longer working.

If you get the "Internal Server Error" or "Error 500" message ....

Please see the "General Help" section of this Help Center.

The script halted halfway OR it suddenly failed to work anymore (it was previously working well)

Reason 1:
When you add the very first webpage to the "Editable File List", a file called "upoint.txt" will be generated. It holds the path to the editable file you have just added. When you add more files, more paths will be added into this "upoint.txt" file accordingly.

You should never delete ALL webpages from the "Editable File List" completely. If you do so, the "upoint.txt" file will still be present but hold zero data - this will give you execution error (normally the admin interface will be displayed partially and the execution stops). To eliminate this problem, simply FTP to the "webpublisher" (default) folder and delete the "upoint.txt" file. So, please remember to leave at least one webpage in the "Editable File List".

Reason 2:
If you physically delete a file from your server, you must also make sure that it is deleted from the Editable File List. The script will fail if it cannot find any file (specified in the list) in your server.

Reason 3:
Make sure that there is no extra empty lines at the end of upoint.txt.
