Installation (the HTML's part):

Simply copy the  JS codes (in the instruction file) and paste them into the HTML page at the location where you want the scrolling news to appear - it can be inside a table (in this case, between the <TD></TD> tags). Do not modify the codes.

General:

Post scrolling Javascripts news and thumbnails on your home page and manage the news via a web-based interface. The optional images will be loaded one after another - before each news is displayed.

This product, completely rewritten in PHP, is the much improved version of our popular @1 Newscroller (already phased out) written in Perl. The improvements in @1 News & Image Scroller PRO include:

  • It supports more browsers. Among the browsers tested are

    - Internet Explorer 4.x / 5.x / 6.x
    - Netscape 4.x / 6.x / 7.x / 8.1
    - Opera 7.x / 8.5
    - FireFox 1.0.x/1.5.x
    * Please note that most other browsers are also supported but they are not listed above. If you have a different browser and the Scroller is working fine, please report to us so that we may include it into this list.

    This means that 99.5% of your visitors will have no problem viewing the scroller on their browsers.
     
  • Better images loading.
     
  • Improved template-driven admin control panel with more property controls. It's neat!
     
  • New indicators:

    shows that an image is present.

    shows that a detailed news (in pop-up windows) is present.

    click to delete a news.

Other features:

  • Hover over the scroller to pause its movement.
     
  • You may change:
    - width/height of the scroller area
    - speed of the scroller
    - font face/size/color of the header/news (of both the scroller and pop-up window)
    - size of pop-up window
    - and others.
     
  • Antivirus software will not block the pop-up windows as they are initialized by the visitors (ie., clicked by visitors to show).
     
  • You may define the default HTML header & footer of the pop-up window.

  • No MySQL or SSI needed.
